THE BARN SWALLOW
In 2002, Crystal Gardens opened the Barn Swallow. Owner, Wendell and his two grandsons built this structure from the ground-up.
Resembling a good old-fashioned hay barn the building provides interesting retail space. Daughter Kelly oversees this operation and has assembled a delightful combination of antiques, art, gift ideas and
upscale gardening attire.
The Barn Swallow showcases an herb garden with a pond and waterfalls feature. As we work into out 30th season (spring of 2006) a butterfly house will emerge from the rear garden. Native Michigan butterflies are our goal with this new addition as we feel it is important for people to realize the beauty right in their own back yards. The butterfly gardens will coincide with our already existing bird sanctuary.
